    Recipe Ingredients

  • Nirapara white puttu podi - 2 cup
  • Aval- 1 cup
  • Hot water- 1 ½ cup
  • Grated coconut - handful
  • Coconut bits- handful
  • Jaggery- 1 ½ cup
  • Ghee- 6 tsp
  • Cardamom Powder- ½ tsp
  • Cashew nuts- few

    Method Of Preparation

  • Step 1

    Make puttu flour mixture by mixing Nirapara Puttu podi with hot water. Add salt per taste. Melt the jaggery in ¼ cup water and remove impurities.

  • Step 2

    In the same kadai, pour the jaggery syrup until you find 2-3 strings. Add grated coconut, coconut bits, aval, cardamom powder and mix well. Add the putt mixture into this and mix well.

  • Step 3

    When mixed well, add the ghee and mix again till you find the same in granular form.

  • Step 4

    Remove from gas and garnish with cashew nuts.Your Aval Puttu is ready!
